Dot Bolter, who lives near Moreton in Marsh, recently celebrated 20 years of service on the Farncombe Estate near Broadway.
To mark the occasion, Dot was presented with flowers and a personal letter from Mr J Philip-Sorensen CBE and a special gold pin by Facilities Manager, Richard Howdle. She then enjoyed a champagne celebration with many of her colleagues.
Dot started working at Farncombe House in 1988 when it was the Headquarters for Group 4 and, following promotion during subsequent years, became Head of Housekeeping for Cotswold Conference Centre when it launched in 2001.
During the past two decades, there have been numerous changes on Farncombe Estate, with award winning training facilities being added since 1991. Further refurbishments are planned for summer 2008.
Dot explains how proud she is to continue in her role “I have worked with many wonderful people over the past 20 years and we have cared for thousands of guests over that time, both during the week and at the weekend. All of these people, past and present, have made my time at Farncombe a challenging but very happy experience. This is a unique Estate with a big heart, it’s like being part of a big family”.
Cotswold Conference Centre is the only Conference Centre of Excellence in the Cotswolds and an Investor in People. For further details about Cotswold Conference Centre visit www.CotswoldConferenceCentre.com or call 0845 230 8580.
